Westport's series-built large yachts come from the USA, built in GRP, with lengths from 34 to 50 metres. Two model ranges are recorded, the W112 / W125 since 1995 and the W130 / W164 since 2005. At values of this magnitude the online route ends: up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online, above that we assess each case individually.
The yard builds in series, which keeps spare parts available. Cover is nevertheless provided via an agreed value: it is indemnified with no deduction for depreciation (new for old) and applies with no age limit in the Premium tariff. Full hull cover covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.
Here too, third-party liability forms the basis, with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. For trips outside home waters, the international certificate of insurance is issued automatically in ten languages.
