Rinker built bowriders and express cruisers up to the 12 metre range in Indiana; production is dormant. The Captiva bowriders are trailer boats, whereas the Fiesta Vee cruisers are genuine weekend boats with a cabin, galley and on-board toilet. This second group lies permanently at the jetty, and so the damage focus of the berth applies: leaks at hull openings, a defective bilge pump, sinking in the harbour.
Sinking at the berth is covered in our full hull cover, in limited hull cover it is not. On a cabin boat with several hull openings below the waterline this is not a theoretical case: a burst hose on the raw water cooling is enough. Check the hoses and clamps annually and have an automatic bilge pump with its own battery circuit fitted, that is the most effective precaution there is for this risk.
