On sailing yachts it is the sail area instead of the engine power that counts when the premium is calculated. One range is recorded for Vethano, the Aldebaran with years of construction from 1970 to 1982. Added to this are the type of boat, the value, the year of construction and the cruising range; the brand has no influence.
Production ended in 1982, but the yachts are still being sailed. We insure regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners, and in the Premium tariff the agreed value in full hull cover applies with no age limit. Compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and races with ranking status should be stated when taking out the policy. Outside the season the cover remains in place, because it applies during winter storage, when craning, when launching and in transit.
