Uttern builds GRP boats between 5 and 7 metres in Sweden, bowriders, console boats and day cruisers, for many years within the Brunswick group and matched to Mercury outboards. The boats are ubiquitous on Swedish lakes and on the east coast and stand almost throughout on the trailer. For trailer boats the road is the most frequent source of damage, ahead of the water.
Transport damage is covered with us under the hull insurance if suitable means of transport were used. An overloaded trailer is not one of them. Calculate the permissible gross mass against boat, engine, tank, battery and equipment, not against the unladen weight from the brochure. The trailer itself belongs in the sum insured with a value of its own, otherwise it stands there without cover in the event of theft or a run-on accident.

Yes, with suitable means of transport. An overloaded or too weak trailer does not count as suitable, and the trailer itself needs a value stated of its own in order to be covered.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
