Smuggler Boats; cover, cost and conditions
The records list four ranges for Smuggler Boats: the SS 28 from 1968, the 21 and the 43 from 1970 as well as the 24, whose construction ended in 1986. Motorboats and motor yachts from these years usually spend the winter ashore, and there the cover continues unchanged.
In winter storage the limited hull cover carries fire, storm, lightning strike and theft of the whole boat as well as damage that occurs in storage. During craning, during launching and on the transport route the cover likewise remains in place, without your having to agree anything separately.
In the full hull cover, collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard are added. Indemnity is paid at the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. For boats whose production lies decades in the past, that is exactly what counts.

Frequent questions
Does the cover end when the boat is lifted out?
No. Craning, launching, the transport route and winter storage are included. The contract continues across the season boundaries without any separate notification.
How is an older motorboat indemnified?
Through the agreed value that has been fixed, with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). In the Premium tariff there is no age limit in this respect, including for boats from the sixties.
