Worth knowing
Sintra; cover, cost and conditions
The motor yacht Sintra 35 with years of construction from 1972 to 1980 is the only model range under this brand; no further details are available. Yachts of this age spend the winter ashore, and the NAMMERT cover applies there too. Insurance cover also exists during craning and launching.
Damage in winter storage is already covered by limited hull cover, together with fire, storm, lightning strike and theft of the entire boat. The cover likewise exists during craning, launching and in transit.
For the valuation of a yacht from the seventies the agreed value applies. Full hull cover pays compensation with no deduction for depreciation (new for old) and, in the Premium tariff, with no age limit, and collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts are added to this. Insurance is provided regardless of previous owners.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
What happens in the case of storm damage in the hall?
Damage in winter storage is included in limited hull cover, as are storm, fire and lightning strike.
Is craning covered as well?
Yes, the cover applies during craning, launching, in winter storage and in transit. Damage while lifting or setting down therefore does not fall outside the cover.

Series by Sintra, build years and cover
Sintra 35 is a motor yacht from Sintra, built from 1972 to 1980.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
