Seawind comes from Australia and builds in Vietnam today, catamarans that are equally intended for coastal waters and for blue water sailing and that stand out through their folding aft bulkhead and their continuous cockpit. For insurance purposes the Australian origin is interesting in so far as these boats are designed for hard conditions and accordingly have robust hulls. That lowers the hull risk, but it changes nothing about the two usual topics: saildrives and cruising range.
Anyone insuring a Seawind in Europe has usually imported it. That raises the question of the valuation anew: purchase price in Australia or Vietnam, transport costs, import VAT and the European CE certification together make up the replacement value, and that is regularly well above the purchase price alone. Take it as a basis in full, otherwise you will be underinsured in the event of a total loss.
