Three motorboat ranges are on record under SeaStorm Boats, the Sea Storm 12 and the Sea Storm 17 Advantage since 2021 and the Seastorm 14 since 2023, all up to today. In current boats a lot of value sits in the equipment, and that belongs in the schedule to the contract.
Permanently installed electronics, accessories and propulsion help determine the sum insured, which is settled as an agreed value. In the event of a claim exactly this sum is paid out, with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"). Theft of parts including the outboard is covered under full hull cover, as is vandalism.
The premium is based on type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, not on the brand. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the contract is concluded online. The boat trailer is insured at no extra premium, and the cover also applies in winter storage and in transit.

Frequent questions
How is the equipment on board taken into account?
Permanently installed electronics and accessories belong in the schedule from which the agreed value results. Only what is listed there is compensated in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old").
How quickly can a contract be concluded?
Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the contract can be taken out online; above that an individual assessment follows. The international certificate of insurance comes automatically in ten languages.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
