Three motor yachts are recorded, the Seafaring 34 as well as the 44 as a Coupe and as a Flybridge, built since 2016 to the present. Where you travel with them we record in the policy as the cruising range, and alongside value and engine output the premium is based on that as well.
A more widely drawn area changes the premium, not the scope of the cover. In the hull cover there is no time window and no night clause. For harbours abroad you receive the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages.
Since production is running, new and young used yachts come together. In both cases an agreed value is agreed and settlement is made with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online, above that we examine the individual case.

What should be noted when taking out a policy for a newer motor yacht?

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
