Worth knowing
Schulz; cover, cost and conditions
Two motor yacht ranges are recorded under Schulz, the Summertime 9.0 and the Runabout 800, built between 1993 and 2003. For boats from these years the agreed value is decisive: it fixes the value, and full hull cover pays compensation with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old").
Details about size, country or design are not available for this brand, which is why nothing is stated here about it. The premium results from type of boat, value, year of construction, engine output and cruising range of your boat. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis.
In the Premium tariff compensation with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old") applies with no age limit. Added to this are collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. A boat trailer is included at no extra premium, and the cover also applies in winter storage.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
What does compensation with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old") mean?
Replaced parts are not reduced because of their age. The basis is the agreed value, and in the Premium tariff this rule applies with no age limit.
Can we switch to you without giving notice ourselves?
Yes, we cancel the old contract free of charge. The policy can be taken out online up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros, above that an individual examination follows.

Series by Schulz, build years and cover
Summertime 9.0 is a motor yacht from Schulz, built from 1996 to 2003.
Runabout 800 is a motor yacht from Schulz, built from 1993 to 1999.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
