Two model ranges come from Sweden: the Scanmar 33 and 35 from 1975 to 1995 as well as the Scanmar 345 and 391 from 1985 to 2000. These are cruising yachts for the Baltic with lengths from 10 to 12 metres, and the archipelago is named as their sailing waters. You agree the cruising range when you take out the policy.
On sailing yachts the sail area takes the place of the engine output. Together with type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range it feeds into the premium, while the name of the yard is left out. For trips across the border you receive the international certificate of insurance in ten languages.
Full hull cover includes collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. Compensation follows the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Cover also applies in winter storage, during craning and during launching.
