Worth knowing
Rühland; cover, cost and conditions
Under the name Rühland a single model range is documented, the motorboat Dingi 9/6 with years of construction from 1975 to 1982. No further ranges are available, and nothing is built under this name any more. The boat can be insured nevertheless, because year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners do not restrict the cover.
The premium results from type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, never from the name of the yard. Boat third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis in Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium, and limited hull cover and full hull cover can be built on it.
In winter storage, during craning, during launching and in transit the protection continues to apply, and a boat trailer is included at no extra premium. Limited hull cover expressly names damage in winter storage, and full hull cover pays out at the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"). Small series and home-built boats can also be insured.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
What applies to a boat from the seventies?
We insure irrespective of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. The value is agreed as an agreed value when taking out the contract and paid in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation.
What damage does limited hull cover cover on the Dingi 9/6?
Fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the whole boat and damage in winter storage. Collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts are only added with full hull cover.

Series by Rühland, build years and cover
Dingi 9/6 is a motorboat from Rühland, built from 1975 to 1982.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
