Two sailing yachts are on file, the Curlew from 1978 to 1997 and the Lapwing from 1990 to 1997. Both ranges came to an end in the same year, so that today only used boats enter the portfolio. For them the value is agreed in advance as an agreed value.
In the event of a claim this agreed value serves as the indemnity amount, with no deduction for depreciation. In the Premium tariff the age limit does not apply, so that a yacht from the nineteen eighties can also remain covered by full hull cover. The current market value is then no longer negotiated.
No sizes or further ranges are recorded for the yard itself. For the calculation the type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range are sufficient. If another policy is still running for the yacht, NAMMERT cancels it free of charge as part of the switching service.

What does agreed value mean in the event of a claim?
The value set in advance is paid out, with no deduction for depreciation. A valuation at current market value does not take place. In the Premium tariff this applies with no age limit.
Does a yacht from 1978 remain eligible for full hull cover?
In the Premium tariff full hull cover applies with no age limit. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and the basis is the agreed value that has been set.
