Several lines come together under this name, the models from Adrenaline Powerboats as well as the Lema ranges, sixty recorded model ranges in total. The oldest entries begin in the year 2000, and the ranges named are in production to the present day. For motor boats and motor yachts the engine power is a central premium factor.

The premium depends on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, never on the brand. Two otherwise comparable boats with different engines are therefore rated differently. A 470 DC of this brand is already part of our portfolio, insured regardless of the place of purchase and previous owners.

Collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard are included, as is the cover in winter storage, during craning, during launching and in transit.

How does a more powerful engine affect the contract?

The engine power goes directly into the rating, alongside the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. You should report a later conversion to more power so that the cover remains in place.

Does the hull insurance also apply on trips after nightfall?

Yes. Whether a Lema Force is under way by day or by night makes no difference to the agreed cover.

What this means for the cover

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.

On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.

On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.

For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.

On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
