Small series and home-built boats can be insured at NAMMERT, even if only a few hulls were produced. For Nova Boot one range is recorded, the motor boat Skimmer 6000 with years of construction from 2018 to 2022; further ranges are not available to us, which changes nothing about the cover.
The classification is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range. Because the brand is not taken into account, a narrow programme has no effect on the premium. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros cover can be taken out online; above that we examine each case individually.
Above the hull cover stands the third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. The trailer is included at no extra premium, and the cover applies during launching, during craning, in winter storage and on the way in transport.

Are one-off boats accepted as well?
Small series and home-built boats can be insured. The value is agreed as an agreed value, so that in the event of a claim compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
What is added to the third-party liability?
Limited hull cover for fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage, and full hull cover additionally for collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts.

For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
