Nordborg builds steel yachts for river and coast in Germany, in lengths from 16 to 24 m. Two ranges are recorded, the Nordborg 55 and 65 since 2010 and the Nordborg 78 since 2015, both still in production today. The basis is a displacement hull with a long range.
Under third-party liability a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros can be chosen, graded across Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online, above that we assess the individual case. Limited hull cover and full hull cover build on third-party liability.
Anyone switching between river and coast states the cruising range when taking out the policy, because it is one of the premium factors. The international certificate of insurance is automatically available in ten languages. Full hull cover works with an agreed value and indemnifies with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).

Frequent questions
Up to what sum is the online policy possible?
Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online, above that an individual assessment follows. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis in both cases.
Does the area between river and coast count?
The cruising range is one of the premium factors and is set when the policy is taken out. In addition there are the type of boat, value, year of construction and engine power, but not the brand.

A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
