Eighteen model ranges are recorded, among them Nautivela Optimist, 420, 470 and 555 FIV as well as the types 29er, 29er XS, 49er and 49er FX. The build years run from 2004 to 2024. All listed ranges are entered as sailing boats; further details on sizes or the product programme are not available.
With a sailing boat the sail area takes the place of engine power. Together with the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range it produces the premium, and the brand name stays out of it. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and races with a scoring status you state when taking out the policy.
At the start there is third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. For the boat itself, limited hull cover or full hull cover is added. A boat trailer is covered at no extra premium, and the cover also applies during craning, during launching and in winter storage.

Are races with a Nautivela 470 covered as well?
Club races are included from the Basis-Plus level upwards. Races with a scoring status you state when taking out the policy, so that the contract expressly carries them.
How is the premium arrived at for a sailing boat?
From the sail area, type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. The brand does not enter into it. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out entirely online.
