Worth knowing
Multihull International Ltd; cover, cost and conditions
Three model ranges with a cabin are on file: the Pair of Twins 38 from 1988 to 1995 as well as the Topaz 30 and the Sapphire, both built from 1993 onwards and in the programme until 2000 and 1999 respectively. Production has ended. NAMMERT insures regardless of the year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
The value is arranged via the agreed value, and compensation is made with no deduction for depreciation. What counts for the premium are the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range as well as the details of the propulsion. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online.
For trips outside Germany the international certificate of insurance is available in ten languages. Behind it stands third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, and hull cover with no time window and no night clause. Winter storage, craning and launching are included.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
How is a Topaz 30 rated?
Via the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range as well as the details you give about the boat when taking out the policy. The brand plays no part. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online.
Does the cover also apply outside German waters?
Yes, and the international certificate of insurance is issued in ten languages. You record the cruising range in the policy because it feeds into the premium.

Series by Multihull International Ltd, build years and cover
Topaz 30 is a cabin catamaran from Multihull International Ltd, built from 1993 to 2000.
Sapphire is a cabin catamaran from Multihull International Ltd, built from 1993 to 1999.
Pair of Twins 38 is a cabin catamaran from Multihull International Ltd, built from 1988 to 1995.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
