Worth knowing
Maritime; cover, cost and conditions
A single model range is on record, the Maritime 21 as a motorboat with years of construction from 1977 to 1983. Details about size, segment or method of construction are not available. Nothing more than the production period can be derived from the data, and for the rating in the policy it is sufficient.
Besides the type of boat, the value, the year of construction and the cruising range, the engine power enters into the premium. Two outwardly identical boats can therefore be rated differently if the engine fitted differs. The name of the yard plays no part in the calculation.
Full hull cover works with an agreed value and pays compensation with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. It covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. The boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Does a later change of engine affect the policy?
The engine power is a premium factor. If it changes, that belongs in the policy so that the rating and the sum insured continue to match the boat.
Which tariff levels are there for a motorboat?
Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium are available. From Basis-Plus upwards club races are included, and in the Premium tariff full hull cover applies with an agreed value and no age limit.

Series by Maritime, build years and cover
Maritime 21 is a motorboat from Maritime, built from 1977 to 1983.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
