Lodestar builds inflatable boats with aluminium floors and rigid-hull RIBs in the mid-range segment. A simple rule applies to the cover: the hull is valued low, the engine is expensive, third-party liability is indispensable. The engine belongs in the contract with its serial number, otherwise hull insurance only covers the boat in the event of theft.
Anyone leaving the boat on the beach or at the slipway should think about securing it. Theft is covered under limited hull cover and full hull cover, and a tracker with its own power supply additionally brings a ten per cent discount on hull insurance.
