Worth knowing
Lisberg; cover, cost and conditions
One motor yacht by the name of Stellar has come down to us, built between 1966 and 1973. Further ranges are not available. A vessel from that period is insurable with NAMMERT, because we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
After so many years the valuation is at the heart of the contract. The full hull cover from NAMMERT works with an agreed value and pays with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"); in the Premium tariff this applies with no age limit. The amount of the benefit is thus settled in advance.
Besides collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts under full hull cover, limited hull cover bears fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the whole boat and damage in winter storage.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
What does agreed value mean in the event of a claim?
The value agreed when the policy was taken out is used as the basis. There is no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), and in the Premium tariff the rule applies with no age limit.
Does a year of construction of 1966 lead to rejection?
No. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. Age goes into the premium but does not decide on acceptance.

Series by Lisberg, build years and cover
Stellar is a motor yacht from Lisberg, built from 1966 to 1973.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
