Worth knowing
Keser; cover, cost and conditions
Twelve ranges are recorded under the name Keser-Hollandia, among them the Classic models 30, 35, 35 K, 36, 38 and 40 as well as the types 1000 S and 1080 S. The 40 Classic has been built since 2012, the others since 2018, all of them to this day. Motor boat and motor yacht stand side by side here.
Anyone travelling abroad with a Keser-Hollandia 38 Classic needs proof of insurance cover. We issue the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. It forms part of the contract and does not have to be applied for separately.
For current years of build the full range of tariffs is open, from Basis through Basis-Plus to Premium. Third-party liability carries a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, full hull cover works with an agreed value and settles claims with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"). Up to 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is the certificate sufficient for waters abroad?
The international certificate of insurance is issued automatically in ten languages and is enclosed with the contract. With it you can prove your cover to harbours and authorities.
At what sum does taking out a policy online end?
Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online. If the agreed value is higher, we examine the application individually and prepare a personal quotation.
The cover that fits
For the whole class of boat
What matters for your boat depends less on the brand than on engine output, how a claim is settled and the waters you sail.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
