Worth knowing
Joppe; cover, cost and conditions
The motor yacht Bonaparte by Joppe was built between 1976 and 1983, and no further ranges are recorded. A boat from this period changes hands today only as a used boat, and the purchase price says little about the replacement value. That is precisely why our full hull cover works with an agreed value.
This sum is agreed when the policy is taken out and paid out in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). In the Premium tariff full hull cover applies without any age limit, so that years of construction from the 1970s also receive hull insurance. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
The legal side often forms part of a purchase as well. We also offer legal expenses cover for water sports; it applies in a dispute following the purchase of a used boat or with a yard. The premium for the boat insurance itself is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine output and cruising range.

Series by Joppe, build years and cover
Bonaparte is a motor yacht from Joppe, built from 1976 to 1983.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
