Whether a boat sails on an inland lake or along the coast is one of the factors that determine the premium. With the motor boats from Italmar, from the Open range through the Cabin models to the Fishing 500, it is therefore worth looking at your own waters: you state the cruising range when the policy is taken out, and it feeds directly into the rating.
The Italmar model ranges have been built since 2002, many of them to this day; 27 model ranges are recorded in total. A Cabin 18 and an Open 19 are already sailing in our own portfolio. For your model the value, the year of construction, the engine output and precisely that cruising range count; the brand name does not change the premium.
For trips abroad the international certificate of insurance is automatically enclosed in ten languages. The basis remains third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros; full hull cover additionally covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. In this way the contract fits every cruising area.

Can I move from inland waters to the coast with an Italmar Cabin 18?
The cruising range is part of the rating and is stated when the policy is taken out. If your waters change permanently, tell us, so that the rating continues to fit; the certificate in ten languages is enclosed automatically.
Is the outboard of an Italmar Open 19 insured as well?
Under full hull cover, yes: it covers theft of parts including the outboard, plus collision, grounding and vandalism. At the same time the engine output feeds into the premium as a factor.

A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
