Worth knowing
Intex; cover, cost and conditions
We have no model ranges on record for Intex. Nothing can therefore be said here about types of boat, production periods or the product programme. That changes nothing about the insurance, because the premium is based on the type of boat, the value, the build year, the engine output or sail area and the cruising range, never on the brand.
The basis is third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. Limited hull cover bears fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage, while full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.
Without known model ranges, only the details of your boat count. Small series and self-built boats can be insured, and we insure irrespective of build year, place of purchase and previous owners. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online, above that we review each case individually.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
What applies if no model ranges are recorded for a brand?
It makes no difference to the contract. What counts are the details of the individual boat, that is the type of boat, the value, the build year, the engine output or sail area and the cruising range.
What documents do you need for the application?
The description of the boat with its value and build year as well as a list of the equipment. The premium and the agreed value follow from these details, and we cancel the previous policy free of charge as part of the switching service.
The cover that fits
For the whole class of boat
What matters for your boat depends less on the brand than on engine output, how a claim is settled and the waters you sail.
