Sixty model ranges are on record; the ones shown all carry the name Mostro: Cabin 8, 9 and 10, Corvette 68 and 78, Family 400, Caramel and Dolce Vita. They are inflatable boats with an engine, with build years from 2004 and 2011 respectively up to the present day. A range of this breadth can only be insured on the basis of the specific listing.
The cruising range is one of the factors that determine the premium: inland waters, coastal waters or wider cruising are rated differently. Added to that are the type of boat, the value, the year of construction and the engine power. The brand has no influence on the price of the policy.
On inflatable boats with an engine the drive counts twice: it helps determine the premium and makes up part of the value. Theft of parts including the outboard is covered under the full hull cover, as are collision, grounding and vandalism. The boat trailer is included at no extra premium.

Does it make a difference whether I go out on inland waters or along the coast?
Yes, the cruising range is one of the premium factors, alongside the type of boat, the value, the year of construction and the engine power. If your cruising area changes permanently, report it to us for the contract.
Does the cover also apply outside Germany?
We issue the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. We record the cruising range in the contract so that the cover matches your area.

On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
