Hollandia builds steel yachts as one-off projects and in small series. With boats that exist only once in that form, determining the value is the actual work: a catalogue price does not exist, but a survey does. On that basis we agree an agreed value, which applies without deductions in the event of a total loss.
Steel means anodes, an isolating transformer and rust prevention. Gradual corrosion is wear and tear, whereas a leak after a collision is a clear hull insurance claim. Anyone who has the hull inspected regularly also has proof, in the event of a claim, that the substance was well maintained.

By means of a survey, which we enter into the contract as an agreed value. After a refit the agreed value can be adjusted informally.
Is electrolysis on the hull insured?
No, that is wear and tear. Prevention means working anodes and a clean shore power connection.
