Nereus Junior and Nereus Senior were created between 1967 and 1976, the one as a sailing boat, the other as a sailing yacht. Anyone taking over one of these boats today is buying second-hand. For the cover the replacement value is therefore decisive, and we record it as an agreed value in the policy.
This agreed value applies in the event of a total loss without recalculation, and full hull cover pays with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). In the Premium tariff this applies without an age limit for the boat. Place of purchase, previous owners and year of construction change nothing about insurability; we provide cover irrespective of them.
If a dispute with the seller arises after the purchase, the legal expenses cover for water sports that we also offer takes effect. For day-to-day operation the third-party liability cover with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros and the hull insurance form the framework. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards.
