The Heir Island Sloop is the only range recorded for Heir Boatworks and ran as a sailing boat from 1998 to 2004. No further models are known. Access therefore leads through the second-hand market, and there the replacement value is the first figure that should be established before taking out cover.
From this value arises the agreed value under the full hull cover. It is stated in the policy and is paid in the case of a total loss with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, which noticeably shortens the way for a boat that has passed through several hands.
On a sailing boat the sail area takes the place of the engine power, joined by type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. The third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis, supplemented by limited hull cover or full hull cover. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards.
