Harcke & Wulf; cover, cost and conditions
The Nova Cat 26 cabin catamaran is the only model range available for Harcke & Wulf, built between 1983 and 1990. No further models are on record. Anyone taking over such a catamaran today buys it used, and so the question of the value in the contract comes first.
We record this value as an agreed value in the contract. In the event of a claim, indemnity is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), without a dispute about a current market value. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, even if the Nova Cat 26 has already changed owner several times.
Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis, in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. Limited hull cover covers fire, storm, lightning strike, the theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage, and full hull cover additionally covers collision, grounding and vandalism.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
What value is applied for a used Nova Cat 26?
The value is set as an agreed value in the contract and paid out in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). Year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners do not stand in the way of the cover.
Is the catamaran also protected ashore?
Yes. In winter storage, during craning, during launching and in transport the cover continues to apply.

Series by Harcke & Wulf, build years and cover
Nova Cat 26 is a cabin catamaran from Harcke & Wulf, built from 1983 to 1990.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
