Four sailing boat ranges are recorded: Sprotte, Tiger-Jolle, Mephisto and Vampir II, with years of construction between 1985 and 1994. For each of these boats third-party liability is the basis of the contract, with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros depending on the tariff level.
Limited hull cover or full hull cover is built on top of third-party liability. Limited hull cover applies in the event of fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage; full hull cover applies in addition in the event of collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts.
As production ended in the nineties, these sailing boats are used boats today. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, with an agreed value and with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff without an age limit. Club races are included from Basis-Plus.

How do limited hull cover and full hull cover differ on a sailing boat?

Is the Basis level enough for a small sailing boat?
The Basis level contains third-party liability as the basis. If you want club races insured as well, you need at least Basis-Plus; full hull cover without an age limit is available in the Premium tariff.
