Worth knowing
Fun Float; cover, cost and conditions
Under the name Fun Float one cabin catamaran is recorded, built from 1986 to 1993. No further ranges are on record. A catamaran with a cabin is often moved over longer distances, and this raises the question of how the insurance is proved abroad.
NAMMERT issues the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. This allows third-party liability cover to be evidenced in foreign ports and to authorities, without documents having to be requested individually. Depending on the tariff level the limit of indemnity is between 10 and 50 million euros.
For a boat from these build years full hull cover applies with an agreed value and compensation with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts are included, as is cover in winter storage, during craning and on the transport route.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
How do you prove cover in a foreign port?
Through the international certificate of insurance, which is issued automatically in ten languages. It documents third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros.
Can a catamaran from the eighties still have full hull cover?
In the Premium tariff full hull cover applies with no age limit. Compensation is paid on the basis of the agreed value and with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.

Series by Fun Float, build years and cover
Fun Float is a cabin catamaran from Fun Float, built from 1986 to 1993.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
