In winter storage damage often occurs unnoticed, which is why this period belongs in the insurance cover. At NAMMERT the limited hull cover covers damage in winter storage, and the protection also applies during craning and launching. For a motor yacht of the Waterland range from Flevo Werft, the time ashore is therefore covered as well.
The model ranges extend from the Waterland 600 and 700, built from 1967, through several Waterland motor yachts to the Flevo 50 CC from the years 2012 to 2019. This span of ages is no obstacle for us, because we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
A Waterland and a Waterland 700 are already sailing in our own portfolio. For these older boats we agree an agreed value in the full hull cover, compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. In this way the agreed value remains binding in the event of a claim.

Frequent questions
My Waterland 700 is craned every autumn. Is craning covered as well?
Yes, the cover applies during craning, during launching, in transit and in winter storage. A separate module is not needed for this.
The Waterland boats partly date from the sixties and seventies. Is there an age limit?
Not in the Premium tariff. We agree an agreed value and pay compensation in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation, regardless of the boat's year of construction.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration

For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
