Worth knowing
Flaar Industrial; cover, cost and conditions
In our records, Flaar Industrial stands for sailboats and sailing yachts built from 2015 into current production, complemented by two RIBs. The range runs from the Flaar 18 via the Flaar 20, 24 and 26 to the Flaar M37 at 11.28 m, joined by the RIBs Flaar 5.3 and Flaar 5.7.
The smaller Flaar boats are trailerable: here liability is the foundation, and transport is included in the hull cover. For the larger yachts such as the M37, value and cruising area belong clearly stated in the application, with recent builds covered at their actual value.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
