Eurocraft; cover, cost and conditions
Sixteen model ranges were built between 2003 and 2017, including inflatable boats such as the Eurocraft 12 to 15 and motor yachts such as the Diablo and Beijaflores. For the cover, the value including permanently installed equipment is taken as a basis and recorded in the contract as an agreed value. The brand never has any effect on the premium.
Electronics, navigation equipment and accessories belong in the schedule from which the sum insured is formed. Only what is listed there can also be compensated in the event of a claim. Theft of parts including the outboard is covered by full hull cover, as are collision, grounding and vandalism.
We have no information on the country or the orientation of the shipyard, and we add nothing. The premium follows the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online, above that we examine the individual case.

Frequent questions
Does navigation equipment form part of the sum insured?
Permanently installed electronics and equipment are recorded in the schedule and are included in the sum insured. They are thereby also covered by the agreed value arranged.
Are inflatable boats and motor yachts from the same shipyard treated in the same way?
Both types of boat can be insured, but the premium differs. It depends on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, never on the brand.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.

Lifesaving gear, fire extinguisher, anchor, signalling equipment and correct navigation lights.

For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
Even without an engine the rule holds: a tear from impact or vandalism is covered, UV ageing is wear.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
