Worth knowing
Django (Marée Haute); cover, cost and conditions
French cruising boats between 7 and 13 metres, built with a centreboard or a lifting keel: the Django 6.70 and 7.70 have been in production since 2010, the 9.80 and the 12.70 since 2014, both ranges to this day. If you switch to us from another insurer, you do not have to cancel the old contract yourself.
The switching service handles the cancellation free of charge so that no gap arises between the contracts. In the new contract you set the tariff level, Basis, Basis-Plus or Premium, and with it the limit of indemnity for third-party liability of 10 to 50 million euros.
A lifting keel or centreboard changes where a boat can go, and with it the question of grounding. Full hull cover includes grounding as well as collision, vandalism and theft of parts. For sailing boats the sail area rather than an engine output goes into the premium.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Who cancels my current boat insurance?
We take care of that. Under the switching service NAMMERT cancels the old contract free of charge, so you do not have to deal with deadlines and wording yourself.
Is grounding in shallow water covered?
Full hull cover includes grounding, plus collision, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. Compensation is paid at the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).

Series by Django (Marée Haute), with value and cover
Django 6.70 / 7.70 is a sailing boat from Django (Marée Haute) (France), built since 2010, and today changes hands at between €60,000 and €110,000.
Django 9.80 / 12.70 is a sailing yacht from Django (Marée Haute) (France), built since 2014, and today changes hands at between €150,000 and €340,000.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
