Under hull cover yes, provided storm is included as a peril. Proper mooring lines and chafe protection matter, because damage caused by inadequate securing can lead to deductions.
Is osmosis a claim?
No, osmosis develops over years and counts as wear. It does reduce the boat's value, however, and that should be reflected in the sum insured so that the figure stays realistic.
