Worth knowing
Bobsloepen; cover, cost and conditions
Two model ranges are documented, both motorboats: the Explorer 730 from 2009 to 2015 and the Explorer 650 from 2018 to 2022. Both construction periods lie in the past, and no current production is recorded. Boats of this size frequently change hands, and with every change the question of the right contract arises.
If the boat is moved on a trailer, the boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium. Cover applies on the transport route, during launching and craning as well as in winter storage. So you need no separate cover for the way between the hall and the water.
On the water, third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros carries the cover. Full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, and limited hull cover adds fire, storm, lightning strike and theft of the entire boat. There is no time window and no night clause.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Does the trailer have to be registered separately?
No. The boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium. This also covers the journeys to the crane, to the slipway and into winter storage as well as the time ashore.
How does the year of construction affect the cover?
We insure independently of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. In the Premium tariff full hull cover applies with no age limit and pays compensation according to the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).

Series by Bobsloepen, build years and cover
Explorer 650 is a motorboat from Bobsloepen, built from 2018 to 2022.
Explorer 730 is a motorboat from Bobsloepen, built from 2009 to 2015.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
