With a sailing yacht it is not the engine power that determines the premium but the sail area. This also applies to the Murena range, which was built between 1970 and 1986. In addition the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range are taken into account, while the brand itself is of no significance for the classification.
For this yard we have a single model range on record, built over a good decade and a half. Anyone taking over such a yacht today generally buys it used. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners and, on request, cancel the previous policy free of charge through our switching service.
In full hull cover an agreed value is set, compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff without an age limit. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and races with scoring status you state when taking out the policy. You receive the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages.

Why does the sail area count on a Murena?
Because propulsion comes from the sails. Instead of the engine power, the sail area feeds into the premium, together with the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. The brand itself never counts.
How do I register participation in races?
Club races are already included from the Basis-Plus tariff upwards. Races with scoring status you state when taking out the policy, and they are then expressly taken into account in the contract.
