Worth knowing
Bluebird; cover, cost and conditions
Sailing boats spend a large part of the year in winter storage, and that is exactly where the limited hull cover takes effect: fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the whole boat and damage in winter storage are included. For Bluebird one model range is recorded, the Bluebird 22 with build years from 1947 to 1983.
Cover also exists during craning and during launching, as well as while in transit. The hull cover knows no time window and no night clause. A boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium, so the route between the hall and the water remains covered.
The build period of the Bluebird 22 goes back a long way. NAMMERT insures regardless of the year of construction, where the boat was bought and previous owners, and agrees an agreed value that applies in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). In the Premium tariff there is no age limit for this, so the agreed value is preserved.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
What happens in the case of storm damage in the winter hall?
Damage in winter storage is part of the limited hull cover, as are storm, fire and lightning strike. Compensation is paid on the basis of the agreed value, with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
Can a Bluebird 22 from the early build years be insured?
Yes. The year of construction, where the boat was bought and previous owners do not rule out cover. In the Premium tariff the agreed value applies without an age limit, so even old hulls are protected at the agreed value.

Series by Bluebird, build years and cover
Bluebird 22 is a sailing yacht from Bluebird, built from 1947 to 1983.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
