Worth knowing
Blue Navy; cover, cost and conditions
Blue Navy lists three motor yacht variants of the same basic model, the 400 Cruiser, the 400 Fly and the 400 HT. The years of construction lie between 2003 and 2015; production has come to an end. Anyone taking over a 400 today insures a used boat whose value we record in the contract as an agreed value.
The basis of every boat insurance policy is third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, graded into Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. It responds when you damage the property of others with your motor yacht. Hull insurance and legal expenses cover for water sports build on it.
Full hull cover indemnifies with no deduction for depreciation and covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. Cover also applies in winter storage, during craning and during launching. The international certificate of insurance comes automatically in ten languages.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
What limit of indemnity is available under third-party liability?
We offer 10 to 50 million euros in the levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. Which grade you choose depends on the waters and the volume of traffic in which you are under way.
Does cover also apply outside the season?
Yes. In winter storage, during craning, during launching and in transit, cover continues. There is no time window and no night clause in the hull cover.

Series by Blue Navy, build years and cover
Blue Navy 400 Cruiser is a motor yacht from Blue Navy, built from 2004 to 2015.
Blue Navy 400 Fly is a motor yacht from Blue Navy, built from 2003 to 2015.
Blue Navy 400 HT is a motor yacht from Blue Navy, built from 2003 to 2015.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
