Belassi; cover, cost and conditions
Belassi builds high-end stand-up jet skis in Austria; with around 300 hp and carbon components, the Burrasca is a small-series craft with values well above the market average for jet skis. These values are the reason why hull insurance has to be assessed differently for a Belassi than for a production jet ski: a total loss here involves a five-figure sum, and the agreed value is correspondingly important.
With a small series there is also the question of spare parts. Carbon parts and special components are not available on the open market but come through the manufacturer, with the waiting times and prices that entails. A repair therefore takes longer and costs more than on a production jet ski of the same power. Set the sum insured according to the replacement value, not according to the price a jet ski normally has.
The usual restrictions apply to use in Germany and Austria: riding a jet ski is permitted only on designated areas and is prohibited on Lake Constance and on Bavarian waters. In Austria each federal state issues its own regulations. The policy covers riding within the agreed cruising range; which waters you may use is decided by the shipping regulations, not by the insurer.

Where may I ride in Austria?
