Balt Yacht builds motor yachts and houseboats between 8 and 11 metres in Poland, GRP displacement hulls with shallow draught for the Masurian lakes and inland waters. The Suncamper model range consists of houseboats in the strict sense: living space on the water, built for slow cruising and long periods lying at the jetty.
With houseboats that lie at their berth for long periods, the risk profile differs from that of a boat in regular use: fewer damages under way, more damages at the berth. Sinking caused by a faulty onboard system, storm damage to the superstructure, frost damage to the water installation. Sinking is covered under full hull cover, storm from wind force 8 upwards under limited hull cover, frost damage where the boat has been properly winterised. On houseboats the superstructure is the surface most exposed to wind in the whole area.
