E-foils are battery-powered foil boards that cost a five-figure sum even in the basic version. Two things are decisive for the insurance: the value of the board including the battery and the legal situation in the waters you use. From 3 hp a registration marking is compulsory, from 15 hp a licence is compulsory, on the Rhine already from 5 hp.
The battery carries the value and the risk at the same time. It is covered when it belongs to the board. Charge and transport it only in an undamaged casing and never unattended, a damaged battery is the only damage on an e-foil that takes other property with it.
