Astondoa; cover, cost and conditions
Astondoa has been building motor yachts between 12 and 30 metres in Spain since 1916, one of the oldest yards in the Mediterranean, with flybridge and sedan models and elaborate interior joinery. The yachts lie mostly at Spanish and Balearic berths, where the autumn storm season is the relevant risk.
Storm from wind force 8 upwards is covered under limited hull cover, including damage caused by neighbouring boats breaking loose. What is not covered: inadequate mooring. In marinas with stern lines and a mooring buoy, the mooring is the weakest point, it belongs to the harbour, not to the boat, and its condition is not your responsibility, but it is your risk. Check it when you take over the berth and report defects in writing.

Who is liable if the harbour mooring breaks?
The harbour operator in the first instance. For damage to your boat the hull insurance applies, storm from wind force 8 upwards is covered. Report any defects you notice on the mooring in writing, that secures your position.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.
