Arksen is a young British yard building explorer yachts in aluminium, designed for long passages away from the usual cruising grounds. That is exactly the point at which most contracts fail: standard policies cover European coastal waters, not the North Atlantic. For an Arksen vessel you need a cruising range that genuinely reflects the route you plan to sail.
The vessels run hybrid propulsion with solar and battery systems. Large lithium battery banks are a question of their own in insurance terms, because they represent a fire load and because replacing them is expensive. Include the battery and charging technology explicitly in the schedule attached to the contract, otherwise it will be disputed in the event of a claim whether they form part of the insured value of the boat.
On vessels of twenty to thirty metres, salvage is the most expensive item, often more expensive than the damage itself. Pay attention to the amount stated in the contract for salvage and wreck removal, and reckon with the costs that actually arise in remote cruising grounds.

Yes, if they are permanently installed and listed in the schedule attached to the contract. State the capacity and the purchase value, then the amount is documented in the event of a claim.
