Worth knowing
AR Yachts; cover, cost and conditions
For the AR 233 Superleggera we have a single model range on file, built between 2002 and 2008. Nothing more is recorded about the programme of AR Yachts, and we write nothing about it that cannot be substantiated. The motor boat can be insured nevertheless, irrespective of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners.
With a boat whose construction ended almost two decades ago, valuation is the real question. We agree an agreed value, and in the event of a claim indemnity is paid with no deduction for depreciation, new for old. In the Premium tariff this applies with no age limit, also for a boat from the first year of construction, 2002.
The basis remains third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, graded into Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. The full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. The hull insurance knows neither a time window nor a night clause.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Can an AR 233 Superleggera from 2002 still be insured under full hull cover?
Yes. We insure irrespective of the year of construction. Indemnity is paid according to the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation, new for old, in the Premium tariff with no age limit in the full hull cover.
Why is there so little here about the yard?
Because apart from the range AR 233 Superleggera we have no reliable information on AR Yachts. For the insurance that is of no consequence, since premium and cover are based on the boat.

Series by AR Yachts, build years and cover
AR 233 Superleggera is a motorboat from AR Yachts, built from 2002 to 2008.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
