Worth knowing
Ansa Sailing AB; cover, cost and conditions
Three sailing yachts are recorded, the Ansa 42 from 1978 to 1989, the Ansa 47 from 1981 to 1989 and the Ansa 38 from 1982 to 1989. No further model ranges are available to us. For each of these yachts an agreed value is set when the policy is taken out, according to which indemnity is paid in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
The basis of every contract is third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium tiers. Limited hull cover carries fire, storm, lightning strike, the theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage, full hull cover additionally collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts.
All three ranges ended in 1989, and these yachts are traded second-hand today. Year of build, place of purchase and previous owners are no obstacle to acceptance; in the Premium tariff full hull cover applies with no age limit. If you switch to us with an Ansa, we cancel the old policy free of charge for you.

Series by Ansa Sailing AB, build years and cover
Ansa 38 is a sailing yacht from Ansa Sailing AB, built from 1982 to 1989.
Ansa 42 is a sailing yacht from Ansa Sailing AB, built from 1978 to 1989.
Ansa 47 is a sailing yacht from Ansa Sailing AB, built from 1981 to 1989.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
