Two cabin catamarans are in the range, the Ameracat 27 Gen II and the 31, both in production since 2018. For multihulls we agree an agreed value, which remains the basis for compensation even after several years in the water. There is no deduction for depreciation (new for old), and in the Premium tariff there is no age limit.
Nothing more than the two model ranges is recorded about the manufacturer, and for classification purposes that is of no significance. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. Value, type of boat, engine and cruising range determine the premium, and the name of the yard does not.
Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros stands at the beginning of every contract, and the tariff levels are called Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. A boat trailer is included at no extra premium, and you receive the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages.

Which tariff level suits a cabin catamaran?
Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium are available. From Basis-Plus upwards club races are included, and in the Premium tariff full hull cover applies with no age limit for the boat.
Does limited hull cover also include damage in winter storage?
Yes. Limited hull cover comprises fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage. Craning, launching and transit are likewise included.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
