Worth knowing
Aerofleet; cover, cost and conditions
Anyone taking over a used cabin catamaran should clarify the insured value before the handover. For Aerofleet one model range is recorded, the Aero 45, which was created between 2020 and 2024. For such boats we arrange an agreed value, so that in the event of a claim the indemnity is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
The recorded programme is limited to the Aero 45; production now lies in the past. A cabin catamaran with two hulls takes up more space in the harbour and when manoeuvring, which is why the third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis of every contract.
Hull cover applies with us with no time window and no night clause, also in winter storage, during craning and launching and while in transport. The full hull cover additionally covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you conclude online.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
How is an Aero 45 from the years of construction 2020 to 2024 valued?
We arrange an agreed value. It remains the basis of the indemnity in the event of a claim; a deduction for depreciation (new for old) does not apply. In the Premium tariff the agreed value applies with no age limit.
Does cover also apply outside the season?
Yes. The hull cover runs all year round, so also in winter storage, during craning and launching and while in transport. There is no time window and no night clause.

Aero 45 is a cabin catamaran from Aerofleet, built from 2020 to 2024.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
